Re: my Router jas been attacked by a man in the middle attack. i cannot logon or change any settings
@maanahi one way to solve it its to hold the rest button on rear of hub but hold till the light flashesgreen then solid red and that should force a hard reset of the hub hope this helps and please reply back to this post please to confirm its worked please and then you should be able to login but if you have the latest router the black hub not the white max hub your login details should be admin but the password will be your wifi password on rear of hub or the card that came with your router 🙂 😄

Re: my Router jas been attacked by a man in the middle attack. i cannot logon or change any settings
i thanks for the quick reply, ive just tried that, with a eired connection and a wifi one. somehow they are shutting down the physical ports on the router, so cant even get a connection. with wifi i just get an unauthorised message. i have actually documented and video'd this on a tiktok video. as they also got into ghe phones and the skybox, as i ran a wireshark trace that showed the skybox foing miltiple broadcasts to my laptop.

Re: my Router jas been attacked by a man in the middle attack. i cannot logon or change any settings
@maana the reset described by @loverboi doesnot require a device it is done directly on the hub by using the physical reset pin. Once reset change both the wifi passcode and admin password as explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/find-and-change-your-wireless-password
True Man in the middle attacks are actually extremly rare and unless your neighbour is iinvolved in serious crime or a state security service the most that can be done is highjack wifi access to your hub. A strong pair ofpassword will stop that. Are you sure what you are seeing on wireshark is your neighbour's work or as is more likely the standard traffic Sky use to manage the hubs and TV boxes?

Re: my Router jas been attacked by a man in the middle attack. i cannot logon or change any settings
The point to concentrate on is securing the Hub, not worrying about other devices. Using a wireless device for Hub administration may well be unsuccessful under any circumstances (it's frequently complained about here) : a wired device is preferable.

@maanai forgot to say that you need to type 192.168.0.1 in the search bar at top of page and then press enter and should take you to the router page but will ask you to enter the username admin but the password is your wifi password but please dont post on here please your wifi password and your should be able to access the hub settings after entering the address in the searchbar of 192.168.0.1
