From now to sky

I've just tried to sign up to sky but after taking my order and sending the puck the broadband was not supplied and after many phone calls and conflicting information I was finaaly informed that it is impossible to change from now to sky without cancelling now and being without broadband. They couldn't tell me for how long. We need broadband for work etc so that's wasn't an option. No information about this ridiculous situation or wouldn't have wasted my time. Shocking service by sky and the staff don't know very much either not ther fault. So why let you sign up if they can't swap it!

Unfortunately it does appear there are complications involved, which are apparently generated because Sky Group also owns NOW.  Previous posts have indicated that, for example, telephone numbers don't survive the transition, which then upsets Ofcom....
