While watching YouTube, my Sky Broadband performed a firmware update that temporarily redirected my computer to a specific page. During this time, my Wi-Fi went down for a couple of minutes. I noticed the URL included "sky_firmware_update_hijack." Does the term "hijack" indicate anything malicious, or am I overthinking it?

@ColossusX firmware updates are notmally scheduled for thecearly morning hours but they will interupt use of the connection. They only happen during the day if the hub has not been contactable for a few nights. The updates are necessary to keep the hubs up to date. Not seen the highjack message myself but goven Sky control the update process from their end I dont think its anything to worry about.

Re: Firmware update for broadband.
Hi team,
I just switched to Sky and had a forced firmware update on the router. It's good to know they would usually be scheuled for night time but I don't think they should ever be forced during working hours, even for new hubs.
I got the new hub setup before 9am and happily started working (from home). Losing the connection even for 5 mins is quite inconvenient. I had already gone into the hub admin page to update WiFi setting etc and ran the health check from my sky.com account. There could easily have been a pop up warning/prompt to update firmware. Instead I start working and then suddenly get cut off and have to investigate.
Yes, writing this message cost me more downtime that the firmware update. I just want to give some feedbackt that might help future customers 🙂
Thanks
