While watching YouTube, my Sky Broadband performed a firmware update that temporarily redirected my computer to a specific page. During this time, my Wi-Fi went down for a couple of minutes. I noticed the URL included "sky_firmware_update_hijack." Does the term "hijack" indicate anything malicious, or am I overthinking it?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@ColossusX firmware updates are notmally scheduled for thecearly morning hours but they will interupt use of the connection. They only happen during the day if the hub has not been contactable for a few nights. The updates are necessary to keep the hubs up to date. Not seen the highjack message myself but goven Sky control the update process from their end I dont think its anything to worry about.
