Fibre installation delay

Hello,

today fibre installation was supposed to take place on my property but was unable to do so because of outside infrastructure. Another engineer is supposed to arrive within the next few days but no more confirmation than that.

However my sky broadband is supposed to end today (8/10/25) and after fibre installation the plan was to move over to EE. Now this has been delayed will my sky broadband services remain active until the fibre installation is complete or will I be without broadband for potentially days? Quite concerned about this as I work from home and require large file uploads so cannot rely on mobile data.

Re: Fibre installation delay

If you're going to be without broadband and need a connection, you can get a starlink mini for £189, sign on for a month and use that until your fiber is sorted. Then cancel Starlink and hang on to the hardware as a backup. No rolling contract.

just a thought

I remember the Internet starting!

@Dr112 As an existing sky customer the failed FF upgrade should NOT affect the BB supplied to you and the copper should stay up until OR complete the connection and then your switch to FF will cancel the copper connection. If you got it free and nothing was said from sky then just do as you please, be aware EE are !"£$ that is a expletive so you are aware but each to there own!
