How many plug sockets does it need please. WE use an extension for our current router and phone in the hallway by the master socket.

Also will they install the box outside on the wall where the mater socket is inside if you know what I mean. That's fine but has a sky dish on there plus a pipe down the bottom for gas.

One power socket for the Openreach ONT ('fibre modem') in addition to what you have now.

Typically the CSP is at ground level on the external property wall closest to wherever the optical cable is coming from (either a pole or a duct)

So one for that. Obvs one for our cordless phone. Does the hub need one? I assume so. I'll have to get a different extension then.

Would it go just above a pipe close to the ground do you think?

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

The Hub needs a separate power socket to the ONT: these can be on the same multigang extension bar.

Here, I have no clue what this means.

Thanks all for your help, I just wanna be ready and clear stuff it it can't go where I need. Does it even matter if it's near the master socket? There are gas pipes near the ground all the way across the front and back of our house all sides so it would have to sit a bit above a pipe.

We have gas pipes on both sides I know which side it would probably be so I'd have to move stuff out the way. A pole went up not long back right opposite us so maybe it will come from that? It doesn't matter that's not the openreach master socket side then? I assume being fibre it makes no difference. It's fine I can move stuff out the way for the work.

I just read a text I hadn't seen earlier. It says openreach will attend to attach the bix outside at some point and we don't need to be in so I guess it gets put where they think best. Sky will finish the rest on the install date so when I see the box I'll decide where the thingy would be best going as I don't want wires all over. I'd still like to know what the results of the chart thingy mean. Can you tell if it will give me the ultrafast plus speeds from that. Is it good for connection. A pole did go up recently plus stuff done down the manhole near it.

Find out more@Chigirlx the checker shows you will have an overhead feed from a nearby pole to your house probably near where your current copper p-hone line comes in then the engineer will run the fibre feed down the wall and install a CSP box. The final installer will discuss with you where you want the ONT and drill a hole through the wall and run the fibre pigtail cable to the CSP and join it using his fibre welding kit to the supply cable. There are limits to how far that is from the ON`T but the engineer will explain those on the day,
The final job should be neat and tidy.

Thank you. It must be that pole that went up not long back right opposite my front window. They had loads of black cable wrapped up hanging on it to finish the job. It's literally in my eyeline so that must be good I assume. I've decided where I want it going. Hopefully it will be much better than our old superfast. It's just two of use but seperately we stream and download a lot and I guess we all have to change over at some point so why not take up the offer. I have trouble in the bedroom playing 4k movies and shows so hoping it will help. I got a TP Link booster. I assume the wall to wall guarantee is only wired but even so it will be better than what we are on now. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
Last thing, I always thought fibre was underground, being a pole will that make a difference in say when the weather is bad and things like that?

The pole has a black box on it too so I'm sure that's it, it has 3 overhead wirs coming off it so far. I assume the closer the better?
