Fibre cable

Sounds like a foolish question but I will explain later.

Do I need an actual physical cable runnining into my house to get Sky Fire Max ?

@Confusedbytech

All of the different broadband types offered by Sky Broadband require a bearer cable: either fibre-optic or copper.

Despite its heritage, Sky is not and never has been a satellite ISP.

Yes, otherwise you won't have anything to connect to.  Sky only provides either a copper based or fibre line type connection.

PS your duplicate thread created today has been removed as you asked the same question just over a week ago, the reply remains the same as before.

Re: Fibre cable

Thank you for answering .

Just to re cap the Sky 'Fiber Max' product could indeed just be coming into a building via an ancient BT copper wire but is still sold as 'Fibremax' ??

I'm not aware that 'Fibre Max' is a current product name.  Are you perhaps thinking of 'WiFi Max'?

Ofcom now expects ISPs to refer to 'part fibre' (FTTC) and 'full fibre' (FTTP) broadband to avoid such confusion.

Fibre Max was an FTTC product launched ten years ago, so that would arrive at the subscription address over a copper phone pair.

Re: Fibre cable

@TimmyBGood It is on the sky List as Fibre Max, could be an ancient name, just so hard to keep up with all but i never heard off it either!

Old FTTC as far as i can see! And from 10 Years ago seen your reply!
