- The Full fibre installation by openreach had wiring running across window sills, up and down the front of upvc clading and entry to the house made through the cladding. At the time, i was told the cables could not be routed any other way. Fast forward and i need new windows cladding/render, sofits and facias After contacting Openreach via their website, I was told to contact Sky, where upon i was told to email Openreach and to include the details and photos. Really?😭 Where do i go now

You say you have resent this invite for a private chat but the bubble in the bottom left hand of the screen to access it never appears.

Re: Fibre cable needs moving
Going back a couple of years when I still had the old copper wire and needed the phone line moved from the fascia boards to the wall I just phoned Openreach and they came and moved it. I never told Sky about it at all.

Re: Fibre cable needs moving
Why didn't the openreach engineer mount the fibre dropwire clamp on the upper left, front elevation of your house, possibly on the brickwork, and route down, mounting the customer splice box directly below. Punch through internally to the ground floor, and it's in virtually a straight line. No unsightly cowboy wiring or damage to your cladding. You would have to have moved your router location. Think that would have been a better option though.

Re: Fibre cable needs moving
Thanks so much for the help and escalating the issue. At the time it was fitted I was mourning the death of my husband and was also suffering from a cancer diagnosis myself. Not an excuse but I'm in a different place now and want to get some repair work undertaken to my home.

Re: Fibre cable needs moving
Hi Chrisee, thanks for escalating but Sky do not seem to be responding and it's been nearly a week. Any idea where I go from here.
Many thanks
Laura

@Laura459 try a different browser or disableca pop-up blocker if you are running one.
