Fibre broadband shows as not available for my property

Fiber Broadband not available at my house but it is to all my Neighbours, I live in Reading (Calcot Park) and I’m experiencing an issue getting fibre broadband. All my next-door neighbours have fibre, but my house is the only one on the lane showing no fibre — in fact, no broadband availability at all. When I enter my postcode and select my address, it says fibre isn’t available. But when I check the neighbouring houses, they all show full fibre availability.

I’ve also spoken to SKY they are cluless ,luckily  i managed to get 150 full fiber in october BUT A BIG THANKS  to a lady who i spoke to for the upgrade she instead of educatioin me she cancelled my order as it has openreach enginerr visit  and since then  they can’t see my address in their system. The online checker shows this message: “Unfortunately Sky Broadband is not available at your addressBut don't worry, we're working on it, so it's worth checking in from time-to-time to see if it changes.' I don’t understand how this is possible. It seems quite ridiculous. Do you have any idea how I can get fibre broadband for my property?  There appears to be an Openreach-related issue affecting the fibre availability at the address.

@Asma4 Are you confused or is this just a mistake you put "" i managed to get 150 full fiber in october BUT A BIG THANKS  to a lady""

and then near the bottom ""Do you have any idea how I can get fibre broadband for my property? ""

150 FF is there as you have said so!

No it's not confusing I did get the package 150 full fiber they arranged an openreach engineer he installed a box outside the house and the installation was done for the next week meanwhile I checked since my usage is more I called and asked if I can get an upgraded I.e 500 she said yes

i can get it I will do that in a while and she cancelled the order to get a new 500 fiber order which resulted in cancellation of engineer visit for ONT to be installed within the house . Since then I was trying to get ift fixed but no luck 😞 I am still without broadband and standing in the same place when moved in :(((

@Asma4 Got you now, you started, mid way through you changed and it all got stopped, sky are not able to do anything to progress it any more that is the current state off play correct! When you cancel the order then back off the queue you go to, so if that was 21 day's that is were it will be at, see what your orders say in you account, did you also get an text messages, or look in your My Messages section account also!

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Re: Fibre broadband shows as not available for my property

The message I receive when entering the address says this, even though the house was built in the 1960s. We cannot determine broadband availability at this location. This may be a new address to which connectivity is not yet complete.

@Asma4  Out of interest what does the Royal Mail adress checker show for your postcode?   Is it correct?

@Asma4

Does the property have a name as well as a number?

Re: Fibre broadband shows as not available for my property

There is no issue with the address on Royal Mail . when the order was initiated openreach address was different from my address as the house name was missing in there data which I updated to Sky

@Asma4  On the BT Checker link did you just input your postcode (no house number or name)then hit search?    It should bring up the street at least?

OK: that can seriously mess things up.  Our FTTP installation was delayed by three months because the address had two versions (with a name and without) and the one Openreach had used to list fibre availability wasn't being accessed by the ISP sales databases.

If there's only a name which Openreach didn't have then it's anyone's guess as to how they've now got it listed...

When ISPs can't see a record they aren't going to be able to sell a product there.

@Asma4

The magic word for this situation is ORDI (Openreach Data Integrity) : apparently ISPs are supposed to have a mechanism to request a review.
