Fibre activation

Hello,

I've moved into a flat which has had an address change, however the fibre terminal is in place and working. I was expecting an engineer to arrive yesterday (6th May) but nobody did, and I've been given a new appointment of the 20th which is unideal.

Since the fibre is already installed, and outside work has been done also, I was wondering if I could just have the broadband activated without the engineer paying a visit?

I work in IT myself and am more than happy setting up everything on the terminal side. In fact, the Hub and temrinal are currently working, it's just the "PON" light that keeps flashing.

Would love to get this sorted ASAP as my parner and I are struggling to work from home using the 5G in our area.

Typically when equipment is already in place and an engineer is scheduled it either means changes need to be made to the equipment and/or engineers will need to activate the line at your local exchange. Engineers are not sent to simply plug in the hub as you mentioned.
