Will customers on the OpenReach Network be able to get the new wifi 7 Hub and speed, or is it all locked to the City Fibre network only, and if that's the case, it's unfair. I spoke to City Fibre and they have no plans to come to my area .

@UkzVortex98 according yo what Sky have said the Gigafast+ product, which is the only way you get the new Hub7, is limited to City Fibre lines on their XGSPON network which is still rolling out. CFs national coverage is far smaller than Openreach's (around 5 million addresses against 19 million) XGSPON is requireed as thst supports speeds up to 10Gb/s while Openreach currently only use GPON which really only supports speeds up,to 1Gb/s but Openreach offer upto 1.6Gb/s which a few isps sell but Sky dont. When Openreach upgrade the fibre network which is likely then I assume Sky will offer higher speeds on thst network.
Not sure about "fairness" but looking at the new hub 7 while it does have a better spec than the hub 6's WiFi7 against 6 but in praxtice the performance is not going to be far apart especially as you get the same WiFi5 expander pods with both as part of WiFi Max.

Re: Fibre Plus
Thats something you need to take up with City Fibre. Nothing to do with Sky or Openreach.

Re: Fibre Plus
@UkzVortex98 As noted above Openreach only supports speeds of up to 1Gbps so don't really see the need for the latest hub for those speeds.

Re: Fibre Plus
@UkzVortex98 not sure what you consider is unfair the fact that customers who are on Openreach cannot access the higher speeds which is simply a network issue which should be fixed in a year or so when Openreach catch up. Or the fact you only get the hub7 with the new packages where irs extra speed is not going to be used?

Re: Fibre Plus
@UkzVortex98 in a few places yes Openreach sell faster connections but you are shaing a distribution point where up to 30 customers share a 2.48Gb/s download link. It is in practice often pretty useless. Openreach limit sale of the higher speeds which packages so my distribution point is limited to 1 gigabit as it happens which isnt uncommon.
Sky could open sale of these packages but have chosen not to as in practice the performance is poor.

Re: Fibre Plus
@UkzVortex98 1.6Gb/s down 115Mb/s up and with the disclainer. *Download and uploads speeds vary by broadband providers so please check with them before purchasing.

@UkzVortex98 What point is it that you do not understand, apart from what you consider to be unfair!

Re: Fibre Plus
Sky fibedr problem they had to dig up my front drive which was not feasible for me or them. 9 people tgo do the job.
Sedriosly thinkng of moving back to BT EE they have 1.6 and wifi 7 hub.
If some one can suggest 4 hands set ip phone with the same number which would work with sky and dec router i will gladly give up sky hub,
