Fibre Csp Relocation

Hi, we have Sky Fibre and it's been pretty decent, however we are due to start an extension to our house. However the csp grey box has to be moved by 1-2 meters on the same external wall.

Openreach confirmed it's possible but has to be raised by Sky.

So I spine to Sky whom booked and open reach engineer, who called to ask to meet up. However he was under the impression I was building a new estate and needed at least 10 new installs. So we quickly agreed it had been raised wrong.

Spoke to Sky who said we will open a fault to get an engineer to attend to do, sounded odd but few days later cancelled as there's nothing wrong with the line.

Called Sky who passed me over 6 people including retentions and sky engineer damage department??? I was offered a master socket move, but this is the internal socket not the external part ?

Im at a loss, is there anyone private I can get to adjust the csp location ?

What can I do ?

No, that's definitely not an option.

The complication with moving a CSP is that both the incoming four core fibre and the single core fibre pigtail is typically cut to length when it's installed, and so both may need replacing together with a new fusion splice.

Is there any chance that the new location is closer to both the internal ONT location and  wherever the incoming cable arrives from?

Re: Fibre Csp Relocation

It will be closer to the ont but further from the riser pipe with the underground fiber init. Potentially if they put a second csp in further down the wall and left this alone it could be built around but won't have access on the future.
