Hi all , just received a notification off the my sky app to upgrade my broadband, only got fibre 500 two days ago! But looking through it says the fibre 500 should come with the white newer router , sky actually sent me the black SR203 to use ! Should I not be using the newer white router ??? Thanks

Re: Fibre 500 router
@edgie700 That has been a new change to the sky site where it does say the Latest Hub is supplied on the FF500 or FF Gigafast Packages, also there can be reasons that you got the older SR203 Standard Hub, if you asked for it, stock issues with the latest are but a few to mention, If indeed you specifically wish or want to get that White Sky Max hub then you would need to call and speak with CS about it!

Re: Fibre 500 router
I've already got an SR203 router plus they sent me a new SR203 in the post ( which is still in the box ) I wondered if getting the white one would be a benefit or not , I just thought they would have sent the white one to me with getting the FF500

Re: Fibre 500 router
@edgie700 Bit of a tricky one the FF500 Internet connection then the SR203 is way capable off handling the speed to the Internet both wired and wireless wi-fi, but you do gain wi-fi 6 with the max hub if you have any wi-fi 6 devices, the upshot in speed one over the other is not that great but it is faster on a Sky Max hub.
The down side to the max, it has to be completely controlled via a mobile app, has some potential issues with Sky Q and the minis etc, requires sky Pod extenders to best maximise wi-fi signal if it falls short. You have to way the Pro's and Cons and make your own mind up.
