Fiber Installation question

Currently on Virgin and have been with them for 20+ years. Contract is up next month and want to charge me £150 a month! I have said we are leaving them and they are refusing to budge on price.

Currently on the 1gig fiber with Virgin. Just wondering if we do switch to Sky will it be as simple as them sending me a modem and I do the install my self. Or will they have to send a engineer out and put in a new box/phone line in order to get the internet up and running.

@ocelot20 Sky cannot use Virgin's network they only use the Openreach network. If Openreach have installed full fibre in your road they will have to run a connection to your house which will involve one or more engineering visits to fit a ONT unit which acts like a modem. Sky send you a hub which connects to the ONT.
