Faulty Router and sky want to charge me even more
I have the black sky broadband hub SR203.
It randomly reboots itself and while it reconnects we lose connection. It is very annoying,
I called Sky and asked they replace it (after having to speak to an Indian call centre who are clueless).
They said they will send it, but wanted to charge me £8 extra monthly for the new version of the router! Total disgrace. I already pay well over £100 a month to sky and they want to take even more money off me. So, they will send out another old technology router which will also probably have some other issue wrong with it.
I cannot wait for my contract to end so I can change provider.

@Kameron Looks like the agent tried to upsell you to the sky Max hub and package, hopefully they just diagnosed that you were beginning to get a fault with the old SR203 and then decided to just send you a replacement, it can happen when hub complete re-boots out off the blue so either the PSU is going bad, hub is developing an issue, or worse a bad mains socket connection or if using an extension cord they can be really bad if poorly made! 👍

So, I received the replacement router. Complete with stains and scratch marks all over it !!
Sky just keeps on getting from bad to worse.

@Kameron re-lacement hubs are not necessarily new they should be reconditioned so work properly if your's doesnt call them again.
If you are really paying over £100 a month just for broadband you are being over charged as most customers get a widexrange of TV services fircthst amount.

@Kameron Would also complain to sky about your replacement hub condition, even if fully working, cosmetically the look off it does matter! Know were my wife would be putting it for sure and it would not be out for anyone to look at!
