FTTP Ultrafast router upgrade for gaming?

I have the SR203 connected via ethernet to my PC with cat5 1gbps connection. Download speed is 146mbps

I want a router for gaming to see if my latency can be improved a little. 

I mainly play MW2 on PC and its above 40 at times where as i can get low 20's on other games.

Any advice on a budget router for gaming that will work on FTTP Ultrafast with sky?

Would it really improve my latency in game?

Asus rt ax86u are known to work with sky

And the netgear xr1000 below shows promise.
