Hello,
Got an issue with router Ethernet connection. Basically trying to crate an access point upstairs but after connecting router to an Ethernet port I can get any lan connection upstairs. If I connect laptop through Ethernet port directly than it works fine, which indicates that there is a problem with capable, however I've got another broadband in the house from Hyperoptics which works fine if I connect it to the house Ethernet, what makes me very confused how come router shares the lan through the cable directly to pc but not to house Ethernet....

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSuggests you may be using a poor quality ethernet cable that the Sky hub cant negotiate with. Have you tried using another cable thats Cat5e or above?
