Hey,
Whenever i start my laptop or desktop up with their ethernet connections everything on wifi looses its connection including my sky q box is there anything i can do to stop this happening? its getting a real pain now and I'm wondering if it's a sky problem with the hub.

The former inducates a fault but never seen anything like thst myself. However if you have a slow connection adding an ethernet device can mean it uses the bandwidth starving wifi devices. Sky hubs do not have any mechanism to share bandwidth between decices fairly.

@Anonymous are you connecting your laptop and desktop directly to hub's Ethernet ports?

Do your laptop and desktop have manual IP configurations? This can cause a problem

That could be the problem, I have never used Ethernet ports on the back of a router, I have always connected an Ethernet cable from the router to a switch and plugged my Ethernet connections into the switch
