Ethernet cable running from router to garden room and Ethernet port

I have an Ethernet cable running from my sky router to an Ethernet port in my garden room - but not getting a connection or Wi-Fi signal ?

@Palace+boys  What you got connected to the other end of the ethernet cable?

 

Have you tested to make sure it is connected properly still?

I am thinking cable is faulty or a router problem ?

 

my plan was to connect a Wi-Fi access point in the garden room and run tv, computer, sky etc via that

@Palace+boys  If you have not tested the cable run to and from the ehternet port then whatever you connect might not work. Test the ethernet ports on the router to make sure they work properly and that will then discount the router.
