Hello,
Since we upgraded our internet a month ago I have been eperiencing an issue with the wired connection to my desktop. Whenever I start a download, the connection will drop after a random amount of time. It can be a few seconds, or a few minutes.
The Sky Hub itself will not go down, and WiFi is still accessible and works correctly.
The syslog of the hub indicated Link Down when the connection drops. It'll then come back with Link Up.
syslog: [ 700.548000] eth1 (Ext switch port: 1) (Logical Port: 9) Link DOWN.
syslog: [ 702.563000] eth1 (Ext switch port: 1) (Logical Port: 9) Link UP 1000 mbps full duplex
I have tried multiple different cables, I even bought a dedicated network card, and all of that made no difference. The cables are rated for up to 1 gigabit, as is the network card.
Inlcuded is a screenshot of the router stats
Any help would be seriously appreciated

I rebooted the router and then started the download again. The two screenshots are from the same time frame.

Yes, I've tried all of the available ports on the router, and I will try and download something via ethernet on my PS4 now and report back

I downloaded a full game on the PS4 at maximum speed with 0 dropouts at all, and then started a download on Steam and the connection dropped within seconds.

Do you have any ideas on what the issue might be? Or where I could go or try to figure it out myself? Networking isnt my forte.

Hi James,
marked your reply answer. I think something was wrong with the driver, I did a clean install of the realtek network driver and now the connection is working flawlessly. Cannot believe I didn't think of that myself. Thank you so much for your time and help!
