Echo dot repeatedly displaying solid red light

As title. Can you suggest anything I xan try to resolve this.

A solid red light on a echo dot would suggest you've pressed the mute microphone button on it, nothing to do with broadband.

Hi James,

Pressing the microphone button on my echo dot makes the red light go out, sometimes for minutes, sometimes (most of the time) it makes a short noise and immediately goes red again. Turning the power off and back on again makes no difference, the red light reappears and alexa will not respond.

If I am lucky enough to get it to stream something, for example, listening to music, it streams fine, even when the red light comes back on. However to get it to stop, i have to power it off. VERY frustrating.

Yeah that's nothing to do with broadband or sky. That sounds like a faulty echo, I would contact amazon
