What are you trying to download and what size is the file?

What speed is your broadband?

Are you downloading via PC, laptop, tablet, phone, Sky Q box, Sky+HD box or other device?

Are you using wireless(WiFi) or wired connection?

@Winnie1985 what speed does the connection test in the My Sky app tell you thst you are getting? If you click on the further informstion it will tell you the guaranteed speed for your line. If your device is connected to a fast network connection like an ethernet cable you should get around 90% of the connection speed. Connect over wifi and speeds areoften lower but Sky can only guarantee the speed to the hub as wifi speeds are beyond their control.

Network speeds are measured in megabits per second (Mb/s) there are 8 bits in a byte which is unit used in measuring file size. Sites like Steam give speeds in Mega bytes per second (MB/s) which is confusing but simply multiply the figure they give by 8 to compare to the speed the Sky test gives.
