Devices connecting to max pod rather than sky max hub

I've got the sky max hub router and I have one max pod in my room as I wasn't getting Wi-Fi beforehand, but now some of my friends devices have started connecting without even knowing to it rather than the main hub. When this happens I can't watch stuff but don't want to kick them off the Wi-Fi for 5 minutes every time I want to put something on as that's not fair. Is there a way to connect the devices to the hub instead of pod?

@Lisapcunn having tried the Wifi Max system with Hubs I would confirm there is no way for the customer to control which devices connect to which unit.

In general a device will attach to the strongest wifi source. If your room has poor wifi signal the pod should be positioned half way between where the hub is and your room not in the room itself. That will improve the backhaul speed of the pod and therefore the speed you get when devices connect to it. .

@Lisapcunn

Almost certainly not: the whole point of the Plume mesh is that it's supposed to be 'smart', i.e. self-managing.
