Re: Download speed
@Maverick9836 thereccan beca short period before the full speed is activated but Sky normally decline to investigste speed issues for the first 10 days. However if you are testing using a device connected by WiFi to the hub it is likely you are just messuring the WiFi speed in your home which is something outside Sky's control as it depends on the layout of your homecand how it is built..

Re: Download speed
Thank you for your quick reply, at this moment in time I'm testing the of the router as I sit right next to it and my house is like a building site with only plasterboard walls up. Should I be receiving 600mb minimum straight away whilst there is only the sky puck and a my mobile phone connected to it?

Re: Download speed
@Maverick9836 normally yes assuming you are roughly a metre or so from the hub which is out in the open away from other kit. There have been reports of people seeing under 80Mb/s for a few hours beforecthe full bandwidth is turned on. If your speddsxare around 92Mb/s that indicatesxaxpossible issue with the Ethernet cable between the ONT and the hub which happens occasionally replacing the cablecsorts that.

Re: Download speed
I have changed the ethernet cable from the provided cat5e ethernet with 2 brand new cat6a ethernet cables and I'm still only getting about 50mb download speed at the moment. I'm a fibre engineer and have a supply of new ethernet cables and they seem to be getting the same WiFi speeds with me being right next to the provided router, I can give it a couple of more hours and see if there is any change. Are you able to do a test down the line to see how the splice connections and let me know what the dB loss at the splice connections are please.

Re: Download speed
@Maverick9836 I dont work for Sky forum members are customers like you. The engineer should have checked the optical signal before leaving. Note Sky get the engineer's report over night.

Re: Download speed
My apologies... I thought this chat was with a Sky employee, the only thing I can think of is the router is potentially faulty which I have had on the past from Sky before. I'll give it until the morning and if it's still the same I'll give them a call. Thank for your time and answering my questions. 🙂
