Download speed regularly dropping

I should have a minimum download speed of 55Mbps however this regularly drops to under 5Mbps. It doesn't happen at the same time and will also happen outwith peak times. Every time I do a service checker on the sky app, it starts off by saying it looks like I have a problem with my broadband and WiFi. Then when it carries out the checks it says there are no known problems and everything is working fine. The download speed doesn't change however and still sits at 5Mbps or under.

Re: Download speed regularly dropping

Thanks for your response. Trying to figure out how to copy and paste the stats. It keeps only pasting the number at the top of the page.

Re: Download speed regularly dropping

@Maccademac At the time you posted the router stats you were downloading which is shown as Rx b/s at 52MB/s which is maxed out, and i suspect it is on your 5ghz band, were you per chance doing 4KHD movie or something, If not then i suspect there is something sucking all your bandwidth on a 5Ghz connected device.

Re: Download speed regularly dropping

Could online gaming on a PS5 do this?

Re: Download speed regularly dropping

@Maccademac As i suspect it is a wireless device, is the PS5 connected over WiFi, if so then it may be possible that those speeds are being used.
