Does changing the name of a skymax router affect the download speed to Sky Q?

I was hoping downloads to Sky Q would be faster again as I have returned to Sky Broadband  (300 full fibre) and have a SkyMax hub.  But, only with Sky Q box, it is slow.

While I was with TalkTalk, I had slower downloads and buffering.  I have had to change the name of my new router to the name of my old Sky router as the alternative would be to change the connections to up to 50 devices.  Is the fact of changing the name affecting my download speed to the Sky Q box?  Other devices seem to download faster with the new hub.

@G14LYR Highly unlikely that the ssid name/password will have any effect on the sky Q box for speed!

Thanks for your input.  I am wondering if I have a setting wrong somewhere either on the router or on my Sky Q box.  I. An't do another hard reset on the router as that changes the name back to the original one.

i am not going to mark this as answered just yet as I may get another suggestion.

@G14LYR You did setup the sky Q as a third party network connection, the Max is not like an old SR203 hub, linked below take a read!.

Okay, thanks again for trying to help me.  I am an old lady and I think I better get an engineer to come and sort it out.  I really didn't understand any of your last post.

@G14LYR your new white hub does not siupport the WiFi system Sky Q uses.  Speeds can fall especially on Sky Q mini boxes which now connect via the main Sky Q box not directly to the hub. If your Q boxes do not connect talk to Sky as thry will send an engineer. The other change is your third party devices can no lonnger use the Q boxes' WiFi hot spots meaningthey may also hit issues.
