I have been with Sky for 19yrs and have only recently switched to Sky Broadband as well. We live in the country and the internet speeds are really poor, but my new neighbour has just announced that he has managed to get fibre to premises with BT. So, if he can get it with BT, surely I can get it with Sky - Or can I?

Typically yes, but Sky seem a little slow to start selling into newly provisioned areas. They also don't have complete national coverage: there's no Sky Broadband presence in this town for instance.

Can't make that out properly but fibre to the cabinet does exist.
What speed are you getting at the moment?
If its any of the adsl speeds then call sky on 150 from your landline or
zero three three three seven five nine one zero one eight from any other phone to discuss an upgrade. If you are on the vdsl at the top you are already on as fast as you can get

Thanks for this, I am on the fastest I can get then, shame. To be fare they did say in a few weeks probably months actually, so maybe the work hasn't been done yet.

Unless your neighbour is confused about whether they are getting fibre to the cabinet or to the premise. You can post the same info for them if you like
