Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
Hello,
I have Sky broadband. When I try to switch to any other supplier, they tell me that my address is not on the database and that they can't take the order unless I raise an ORDI request with Sky to get the address database sorted out.
How do I do this.
Thanks

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
@JROWCan you fill out the form in the link below to see if it finds your information on your proerty address please. If it finds it then you should be good, but if not then you will need to call Sky.

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
@Highlinder Thanks for your help.
After over an hour on the phone and talking to multiple different people and reexplaining time and time again a 'new' address was created in openreach. However as my contract is up and I'm looking at alternatives I've found out that I can't actually change even if I want to. Sky have created a new address but now openreach says that the new address isn't connected to the network. And therefore I can't get a service...
Stuck in a loop. What is the next step? Do I need to have my house connected again or go back and have another go at ORDI. If I go back to ask to update the ORDI, what do I ask for?
Thank you for any help.

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
@Highlinder It says that my address is there but not connected.
"We cannot determine broadband availability at this location. This may be a new address to which connectivity is not yet complete."
But the old address is there which is connected? Feel like rather than updating the old address, a new one was created.

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
@JROW That is really odd that you are on the Openreach network with being with Sky. Did they use the old address to connect you before without issue?

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
Correct. We built our own house and changed the name. Sky updated to the new name but my guess is they didn't pull the data through to openreach (we always have problem if there are line issues)
Now I've been given a 'new', 'unconnected' account.
But I am connected.

Re: Discussion topic:How can I raise an ORDI request
@JROW Would just say that Sky do need to look at this again and get the unconnected address connected. Itg is down to them, there is not much you can do as Openreach don't talk to the general public.

When FTTP arrived in this part of the world, we tried to order (through BT) but found that availability had been marked by Openreach against the version of the address which included the house name, but BT sales used a different version without the name and that showed full fibre didn't exist.
The eventual solution was for us to 'move house' without leaving, made rather more painful by having the ADSL disconnected prematurely.
