My wireless speaker and other devices constantly drop on wifi. It has been doing this for weeks now. I cannot get through to Sky which is really annoying.
I am on Broadband Ultrafast and have my line connected individually direct to the pole.
Could it be the hub being faulty?
Is there anything I can do about this. Who do I contact? It is driving me mad.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYour stats dont suggest any sort of drop so not a faulty hub. Do you use any sort of extenders or boosters?
Also I can see the hub has been up for some time so a power cycle on it wouldnt do any harm

I have a sky booster and the mini boxes have wifi switched off as I use powerline adapters as the situation used to be a nightmare before I started using them.
What do you mean by a power cycle?
Thanks for helping me

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOh okay I just thought because the router reports it hasnt been rebooted for 14 days that it may be beneficial to give it a reset. It also may help if you factory reset your boosters and repair them as often dropping WiFi can be down to your mesh network which is the boosters more than the router.

How would I factory reset and and repair the booster?
Would all boxes (ie, sky q main box and mini boxes) need to be off when I reset the booster?
Sorry, I am not very technical

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSo factory resetting the booster is as simple as holding the reset button for 20 seconds on it. Then you just repair it via WPS. Instructions can be found here.
You wouldn't need to switch off your Sky Q boxes to do this.

Hi again. I cannot see on those instructions you sent how I re-pair the booster once I have done the reset button part?

I am still having dropouts and it is driving me mad. I was listening (or trying to) to my iTunes library this morning through my wireless speaker and it just kept stopping and starting. Had to give up in the end as it was so annoying. My iPad often loses connection for 30 seconds as well.
Anyone got any ideas?
how do you get an engineer out these days?
Thanks
