Delayed installation
One month from the initial survey, one further survey carried out and 3 engineer visits, Installation has been delayed for the 3rd time. Each time the reason is additional work may be required, yet the engineers have told us that it is a straightforward installation, requiring cable to be laid in the drive. The frustrating thing is that you cannot discuss this with anyone, other than Sky (who the contract is with), but they cannot forward messages or discuss with Openreach who carry out the installation and there is no way of speaking to them directly 😤

That's correct: Openreach isn't a public facing company. While any individual FTTP installation is 100% the concern of the household involved, it's 0.001% of the Openreach target for that week as part of the national rollout (1 in approximately 85,000) and the resources available are consequently rather stretched.
