Day 5 no internet in Oxford. Completely unable to get passed recorded message to speak to a person
Woke 4am Thursday- internet down. Did a check at 7am. App said to make an engineer appointment. Did this for Saturday. On Thursday night tested again in case I'd done it wrong. Test Said it was an area problem. Engineer came out Sat 10am - stayed an hour unable to fix so he rang to get a broadband tech appt. He was told it was an area problem. Monday 6pm still no internet and not a word from Sky about the problem or when it may be fixed. Just get an automated message when I ring saying there's a problem in the area, they're working to fix it and will text me when it's done. 5 days now - no TV either as no internet. Beyond annoyed by both the issue and the complete lack of info/customer service from Sky.

@Catkin33 frustratingly if you do get through the Sky agents wont be able to tell you much more as the engineers doing the work probably dont know themselves when lines will be restored. It is a pain but the best source of information is your local media.

Openreach are known for not being the quickest at updating their ISP's as to progress or lack of regarding a fault.
The below link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (new rates apply from 01/04/24 of £9.76 per day).

My Broadband is back after 7 days out.
Sky have said that Openreach haven't admitted the fault so I won't be getting compensation. They offered me a £5 Tesco voucher as a 'goodwill gesture'. I find this an insult after a full week without broadband or TV

I'm not sure Openreach have to admit anything. I would question that decision regarding no compensation being offered and if necessary make a complaint
