Re: Crap WIFI range around my home
@Colin581 Wifi speed and range are affected bybthe layout and type of construction of your home. As the signal passes through a wall strength is lost, the thicker and denser the wall more you lose. External walls are normally double brick so are like 2 internal walls. The aerials on the hub are designed to have most signal going horizontally which is why a device on the floor above gets minimal signal.
Sounds like you may need more wifi kit than a freebie Sky hub. A simple booster might work for the upstairs but is unlikely to help in the garden room. One system that does normally work for external rooms is poerline networking which uses your homes mains wiring to carry the signal. If you bought a kit with 3 adapters one plugs into a wall socket near the hub and connects using the ethernet lead provided. The other adapters plug in the problem rooms. Adapters can come with built-in wifi access points or if your kids useca games console usimoly connect those by ethernet to the adapter.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
