Ideally use ethernet from the hub to your console or PC if thst can't work after the holiday look into using powerline networking thst uses your home's mains wiring to carry the data.
If you are already using a cabelled solution then there is a serious issue with your full fibre connection which are rare but can happen.

I can't use a ethenet cable as my router is in the kitchen which is the front of my flat and my games console is in the lounge which is at the back of the flat. When I took on this Internet out I was told I would have no problems gaming wirelessly

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Kallom , In theory, you shouldn't have issues when gaming via WIFi, in reality, though that's often not the case. You could try powerline adaptors as these can offer ethernet connections where it's impracticable to run long ethernet cables.
