Considering Switch to sky broad

My current broadband provider has disconnected us in error last Thursday. Can't get reconnected till 7th Aug i work from home and its been painful. They talked me into signing up to a new contract but i want to know if 2 week wait is normal when ive been disconnected in error? They have taken a week to send a sim for mobile hotspot but its still not activated ive chased twice today and losing the will

@Splitpin1966 If the provider uses the Openreach network then yes a 2 week wait is normal, It would be the same time frame if you decide to switch to Sky aswell.

@Splitpin1966 Hopefully you do get reconnected, mistakes happen and unless you spot it right away it's an oops wasn't me and you get left with it, but they are all the same nothing much can get done, planning is out there so just to hard to shuffle and fit in no matter how the mistake happened!
