Discussion topic: Connection to device drops out after a few minutes

I connect to a device (Raspberry Pi) via WLAN but the connection drops out after a few minutes. Why? I can still ping the device and it is still shown on the router as a connection but I cannot connect unless I reboot the router then goes round the loop again, i.e. I stay conected for a few minutes before it drops out again. Any thoughts?
