'MAC address filter', probably.
A Max Hub can carry out such filtering (it's applied in the Parental Controls) but won't be doing so by default.

I'm saying that filtering isn't likely to be the issue.
The problem may come from the printer not liking the Hub having the same network name in both wireless bands.
You could try logging into the Hub settings (using the My Sky app) and then temporarily switching off the 5Ghz WiFi signal.
