My sky 4.2 hub was just delivered.
i don't have a phone to connect the wire to.
ive plugged everything in and its coming up there is a problem with the set up.
what colour cable should be where?
i have been given a black and grey cable.
the socket I have is a double socket, one for WiFi, one for phone, as i said i dont need the phone connection.
also, if I contact sky can they bring forward the activation date?

@catho2026 RJ11 little square plug arrangement, you will have TWO lights on, 1 and 3 Power and WiFi the Internet and the Voice will NOT light up until your ACTIVATION date whenever that is?
Thought i maybe had an old cable lying around but don't, must have sent it back with the old sky hub 2024 time, just google RJ11 will show you cable is the SAME plug both ends....

@catho2026 Not going to get the date moved forward, Purple RJ11 Cable back off sky Hub to the RJ11 on the double connection OR Master phone socket that is what you need! Phone connected or not does not matter, 4 Green lights on the sky Broadband Hub once it's all up and online!

Follow the link select the Hub and yes you have internet calls, or watch the you tube video!

@JimM1 what colour cable should be connected?
is this and the power cable the only 2 I need to connect?
currently only 2 green lights showing, could this be as it isn't activated yet?

Thanks for your help, I understand a bit more now.
just annoying when I ordered they told me the delivery would be quicker, and so would activation. Now I have to wait till friday

@catho2026 Sky do not activate your line themselves that work is down to Openreach or City Fibre whose networks they use and the date you have been given will be the earliest slot in their schedule for your exchange..
