I have Sky Broadband max and the download speed is phenomenal. No problem with speed whatsoever. However, I would like to boost the signal down the garden so that I can work in my man cave. I spoke with customer services who have advised me that I cannot have a Sky WiFi booster because of the speed into the house. I have therefore bought an UltraXtend WiFi booster. It's very easy to set up. I followed the instructions, logged into the extender, selected the network in my WiFi options and although it shows full signal down at the bottom of the garden when you log into the network using the sky password, it does not access the internet. Is there something in my settings that is blocking the internet connection?

Re: Connecting a third party WiFi booster to my broadband router
Thanks for the response. I now have mine working. I had sited my booster in an outbuilding just outside of my back door. However, it transpires that all the crap in the outbuilding was blocking the signal. What I did was to move the booster indoors and bingo, it now works. I have linked another booster and that's in the mancave at the bottom of the garden and I have full signal from the house down the garden.
my advice .. try re-siting the booster

Re: Connecting a third party WiFi booster to my broadband router
Actually, I think we might be having different issues. My problem is that when it won't let me connect to the web interface to complete the set up. Even if i type in the url manually, it won't connect to the set up page. Annoying!

Re: Connecting a third party WiFi booster to my broadband router
I had the same problem. I was try to set mine up on my iphone. However, when I switched to my iPad it worked. Might be worth trying a different device?
