Charged for moving home

I recently moved home and checked the process of doing this on my account. It told me that my same package could not be offered but there was one available at a cheaper price. It also mentioned that there were no fees incurred to ensure a smooth transition of services.

My SKY broadband move was completed on 20/10/25 but I have since received a message telling me that I will have an installation charge of in excess of £50 and that my package fee has increased from £28 per month to just over £40 per month. I originally had a contract that was to run from Jan 25 through to Jan 27 but for some reason, it has now imposed a new contract that starts in Oct 25 and expires in Oct 27!

Am I within my rights to completely cancel my contract as SKY seemed to have categorised me as a new customer?

When I called an operator she was confused and mentioned that my offer had expired in Oct 25 when clearly my contract started in Jan 25 with no expiry of an "offer" just the usual incremental price rises through the life of the contract (which may I add have already shot up from £20 to £28 in 10 months!!)

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated as there have been a few things that have been very stressful during the move and this is just adding to the grief!

Thanks all.
