Hi there, not sure if I'm in the right place but I have a problem that is driving me crazy. So I have a Samsung tv bought last year.
since around October time using the channel 4 app is hit and miss. The home page won't load correctly ie don't get any visuals of the programs, then once viewing a show when it goes on a break it doesn't resume viewing just scrolls and times out.
I have been in touch with sky about this problem and am told my internet connection/speed is fine so must be an issue with the 4 app.
I have contacted channel 4 and was told that they had updated the app but sky broadband hasn't quite caught up!!
This is really driving me crazy I enjoy channel 4 programs and like to wstch at my leisure but for months now i can't anyone having this issue or did and were albe to resolve🤞

@jamesn123 @Hi there, no I haven't tried this, I am using sky shield facility to keep thing suitable for the kids but I'll definitely try this.

@jamesn123 @Hi there your advise worked, turned off router and disabled broadband shield, I do need to keep shield active to keep kids safe online but I'm guessing maybe it's the shield that was the initial problem???? But now I know what to do I'll put shield back on and see what happens.

@jamesn123 @Yes I've put the shield back on, I'm hoping I won't need to switch off but at least know I have a remedy!! Thanks again....
curious as to why it interferes with the channel 4 app from working ... strange to me.

@jamesn123de to do with bb shield, switching back on caused same issue, switched off experienced no issues!!!

It seems sky shield is blocking the graphics for the channel 4 app. Disable sky shield and this works fine.
There is an option in sky shield to add a website exemption so this is not blocked by sky shield can we set this to allow sky shield to be used and have a working channel 4 app?
