Changing from BT to Sky

Have just cancelled BT broadband and TV. Such is their want that I have to give 30 days notice which takes me to 27/09. Have now ordered Sky Glass TV and broadband online  and been informed connection date is 30/08. Will I be able to access Sky Broadband whilst BT is still connected??

No, which suggests Sky is intending to provision before the BT notice period has elapsed.  That may mean BT charges you a penalty payment, which Sky should then cover as an account credit (which has to be claimed manually)
