Changing broadband activation date
Hello,
I would like to get a Sky broadband package for a property I'm moving to in a couple of weeks. Every time I check the website, the activation date is by default February 14th and I cannot change it. This date is too early for me. Is it possible to change the activation date?

Re: Changing broadband activation date
If you have placed the order (it isn't clear from your post if you have or not) then you will need to call Sky to see if it is possible to get a later date.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Changing broadband activation date
No, I have not placed the order yet, because I would like to be able to choose a specific activation date.
I tried calling their customer service to ask about this, but they only answer to enquries if my phone number is already in their records, i.e. I'm already a customer.

Re: Changing broadband activation date
@ZahraS it helps if you use the phone registered to the account as that tells thecsystem who you are, however you should be able to get through if you dont stay on the line.
Moving a broadband service requires work to be done by Openreach whose diary is not very flexible. You are normally offered the next free date in the diary for the area you are moving to there is usually a 14 day leadtime but if you call in the home move agent maybe able to book a date further out for you. However trying to synchronise everything to work on your moving day may not be possible so plan for some disruption but while it may not happen it is less stress than hoping for a seamless move.
