Changing address
Hello could someone please explain why I pay for broadband whilst I am still waiting for it to be activated in my new address ?
I would of thought that the days I am not able to use the broadband I wouldn't pay ?

Re: Changing address
@Dominic1616 Did you arrange a home move with Sky or are you just joining?

Re: Changing address
For a new service billing should not be active until the line is active

Re: Changing address
Not delayed, it will be the date they told me.
Just I don't understand being charged once they cut off my BB in the old address until I get the BB in the new property.

Re: Changing address
Your old BB should only be cut off about a day before the service activates in your new address. Is there a reason it has been cut off so early?

Re: Changing address
I applied for the "change of address" on the 18/3, they confirmed on the 20/3. The date of the new activation and when the engineer will officially connect will be the 4//4.
If was only a few days I wouldn't mind but it is two weeks of no BB and they have still charged me the same amount.

Re: Changing address
I am not sure why that has happened then. During a normal Sky home move you give them 2 weeks notice & the broadband at your old address should be switched off 1 day before activation at your new address. I would give them a call and ask why they have cut it off so soon and ask them to put credit on your account for the 2 weeks

Re: Changing address
I have tried finding a number for Sky BB but unsuccessfully.
I was hoping this thread would put me in the right direction.

Re: Changing address
150 from your Sky landline but I am assuming you dont have that right now so it would be the 03 number from the bottom of https://sky.com/help under the 'Need more help?' banner
