Cannot access router settings

Hello, I am trying to access my router settings. I can access the main page, but any other tabs like advanced, maintenance etc do not work. It just keeps trying but nothing opens. I have long reset the router and still the same. The router is not asking for the username or password either and just goes to main page, so I don't know what's wrong with that, but as I have already said, I cannot access any other settings on the main page (index) tabs. 
what is the solution please?

Check your browser or antivirus doesn't have popups blocked. The login appears in a popup window. Maybe try accessing from your phone's browser?

Thanks for the reply,  but I did deactivate my browser pop up blocker and I do not have any antivirus programs except the windows built in one. I think the problem is with the router and it probably needs replacing.
