Cancelling broadband

Hi, I'm wanting to cancel my broadband as it's going up and the service I'm getting isn't great. My contract is up at the end of Sept and I want to switch to another provider, how much notice do I have to give and how do I make sure I'm not without broadband during a switch over, thank you

@Kmac74  If you are moving to another provider do not cancel Sky broadband. Just contact your new provider and they should do the rest. Just make sure that you do this in the last month of your contract with Sky and it is the end of your minimum term contract with Sky.

If someone has helped give them Like.

@Kmac74
To cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk totally, or if you’re moving to a provider like Virgin Media or City Fibre etc who don’t use the Openreach set up, you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days, but if you are still in the initial 18 months deal Sky could impose cancellation charges. If you are changing to another provider who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of the notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.
