Can't connect my Lifx smart bulbs to my sky max hub.

Can't connect my Lifx smart bulbs to my sky max hub. I have switched to 2 GHz only and I have lowered security to Wp2. I still can't get them to link. I have also tried resetting the bulbs multiple times. Any ideas?

@JR22221 if the units will not connectvwhen the hub is funning with the 5GHz band disabled and only WPA2 is selected it looks like you are stuck - judging from a quick online search these units do appear quite prone to WiFi issues.

Suggestions I found include rolling back their firmware but how you can do that isnt explained. It could be that these lights are set for US wifi standards which are different from Europe and cannot connect if your hub chooses ch12 or 13 which is something you cannot control on the WiFi Max hub but a restart might help but the hub can change channels back at any time. Sorry not to be more help.

Leaving the 5GHz wifi off is equivelant of buying a fast car and only using first gear most IOT kit mst require tge 5GHz band be turned off to connect but should remain connected when it is re-enabled.
