Can I connect Sky Superfast 80 to my openreach master socket?

Hi, I switched my broadband from plusnet to sky once my contract came to an end and as I am renting I don’t want full fibre installed. I ordered Sky Superfast 80 as unlike the other options it doesn't say full fibre and I'll only use it to watch Netflix on 1 device so I don't need it to be fast. I keep getting texts to say that full fibre will be installed in my property on my activation date so I'm wondering is this necessary? I'll have to cancel the broadband if so as I intentionally tried to order something that will plug into my openreach mastersocket like plusnet does. I tried to contact the call centre but they couldn't understand what I was asking so I'm worried. Thank you for any help

Typically it's not now possible for ISPs to order service over copper where fibre is available at an address: that's a deliberate policy by Openreach and BT Wholesale to push the national FTTP rollout forward and eventually make it possible to decommission the aged and increasingly unreliable copper network.

Ultimately all landlords are going to have to reconcile themselves to this, and recognise that Ultrafast availablity increases property and rental value.

Note that new orders for Superfast 80 (and indeed Superfast 35) will be delivered over FTTP wherever possible, despite only using a small fraction of the potential bandwidth of an optical circuit.  It's not in anyones long term interest to keep copper phone lines which Alexander Graham Bell would recognise in use .
