Cable arrived, but no HUB

Hi. Three weeks ago, I ordered the upgrade to Full Fibre Gigafast. I have an engineer visiting on the 15th (A week today). Yesterday, I received a thicker cable, but no new hub. Do I need an upgraded HUB and does it come separately? Thanks In Advance. PS I will need an ONT in my flat. Will the engineer install that next week? TIA

What colour router do you have at the minute?

 

You should get the router up until the day before activation date

Are you with sky already with an ont installed ?

The ethernet cable (conversion kit)  is all you need  the white hub is the latest router for 1000Mbps ultrafast.  If you don't already have an ont then that will be installed on the actitation day

That's terrific, my friend. I have a very old ONT, which, after the engineer visits, will hopefully be thrown away. The thicker cable arrived yesterday and fits in my current hub but not the wall. Thanks for your help.

That is strange that it doesn't fit in the existing ont .  I guess they will change the ont otherwise there is no need for an engineer visit.

OK, thanks. Is there an easy way to contact SKY/Openreach to make sure the engineer is aware that I'll require a new ONT and the visit is still scheduled?
