Broadband upgrade cost question

Hi, may be a silly question, but I currently have 450mb broadband and on my Sky App it says I can upgrade to 900mb ... the upgrade is £46 a month. Currently I pay £53 for half that speed.

so is the £46 on top of the £53, or have I landed on a deal where it will cost me less a month to double my speed?

Re: Broadband upgrade cost question

@DanReed86 If you have the opertunity to do so and the offer is correct then that is the broadband and talk price that you will pay. If you have anything else on your contract you do need to look at that to match old to new... So £46 is what it would be and for the 24month period with the price updates every April 1st what ever sky set those at.

@DanReed86 The broadband market is highly competitive and Sky's prices do change but you should be able to upgrade your service to get that price but you will be tied to a new 24 month contract. If you are no longer in a fixed contract you should be able to recontract for thec500Mb/s service at around £32 per month but Sky wont allow that until you are out of the fixed period.

In practice the increase in speed is not going to make much difference as few if any activities need 100Mb/s
