Broadband up and down like a yoyo!

Hi Sky,

Is there a problem with broadband? For about the past 2 weeks broadband keeps dropping out (for about 5 mins), about 8 times a day!

Everytime I have run the checker and it says everything is fine, no problems?! I have also gone through all the usual checks, powering down the router, checking sockets etc.

Strangely it doesn't drop out in the evenings or at the weekend, only drops during the working week? Is a developer or someone playing around?  If so how long will this be going on for?

Cheers - Mark

Any such issue is likely to be at an individual address and associated with the equipment or circuit locally: Sky has around six million broadband customers, so system-wide problems do tend to get noticed.

We've been having problems like this for past 2 months. Engineer been out and said all fine. Currently waiting for a replacement router from sky to see if that fixes the problem

It's not just you, I am having the same issue and this is getting tedious as working from  home

As noted, with that many customers a tiny percentage of faulty Openreach circuits to properties across the country will cause numerous posts here, but these are almost always individual issues (the exception being area outages and dodgy Hub updates)

It's generally best to persist with an individual fault report rather than chase other theories.
