Have tried resetting modems, changing cables, etc. Only workaround is going into the Sky.com/servicestatus website, following all the various steps and after the MAC is entered and the Ethernet cable (which connects the modem to the rest of the house) is taken out, the final system test eventually fixes the problem, with all the lights turning green. Waiting for a week for a Sky engineer to diagnose this. I am guessing it is the modem itself but any ideas welcome!
